Rusch Foley Algae Latex CH14

Rusch Foley algae is sterilized and for single use. Sterilization is guaranteed if the packaging is intact and undamaged. The product is indicated for routine transurethral drainage or post-operative transurethral drainage and bladder irrigation under medical supervision.

Indications for storage

• Store in a clean, cool, dry place away from light.

Precautions

• Do not use oil-based lubricants.

# Contraindications

• Allergy to latex.
• Insurmountable urethral passages.
• Excessive urethral stenosis, false route.

Possible complications

• In case of balloons impossible to empty, cut and stem the algalle in the bifurcation or drill the balloon according to the established procedures.
• If the balloon ruptures, all fragments must be removed from the bladder.
• Urinary tract infections associated with the algalia, urgency and tenesmus, irritation of the urethral mucosa and blockage of the algalia due to scaling are documented complications.
• An incorrectly positioned algae can cause urethral damage if the balloon is emptied into the urethra.
